

Google Notifier warns you when an application or malware tries to change your program’s default Internet browser. In the event that programs on PCs in your organization have Google toolbars, those toolbars have a Google Notifier included. Sometimes apps you enter can change a program’s default web crawler. Instead, there’s an option called Use Google as default search engine, which is only checked when Chrome is opened. Fortunately, Google has recognized this and no longer includes this additional service when installing the toolbar for IE and Firefox. Some people find this feature useful, especially if they want to keep Google as their default search engine. Google Notifier warns you when an app or malware tries to change your browser’s default search engine. To free up system resources, you can remove the Google Toolbar Notifier service. This service warns you when the default search engine is changed, but it rarely needs your help. It shows up in Task Manager as “GoogleToolbarNotifier.exe” and keeps checking if Google is your default search engine. Google Toolbar Notifier is a service that is automatically installed and activated when you install Google Toolbar.
